There’s something extraordinary about generosity. It’s not just the act of giving, but the belief in something greater; something that moves us deeply that we can’t help but invite others to join us in the journey. I’ve come to realize that when we believe in a cause with our hearts, it can inspire others to find their own causes worth fighting for.
For me, that cause found me eleven years ago. My wife, Ardy, passed away from Multiple Myeloma on August 10, 2013. She left a legacy of community, compassion, and hope. Her legacy continues to inspire us.
As I sat with the grief of losing her, I knew I had to do something meaningful to honor her memory. That’s how the Ardy Germann Team was born—a group of friends, family, and supporters, united by love for Ardy and a shared mission to fight back against cancer. Over the past 11 years, we’ve come together again and again, raising over $150,000 for the Multiple Myeloma Research Foundation (MMRF).
Last year, when we received the Spirit of Hope award, it felt like a moment of recognition—not just for our team, but for Ardy’s enduring presence in our lives. Yet, this journey is far from over, and the road ahead still demands our dedication.
The strides the MMRF has made in cancer research are nothing short of remarkable – committing over $500 million and bringing 15+ FDA-approved therapies to market. Each advancement offers hope to countless families, ours included.
This year, as the MMRF Twin Cities Walk/Run approaches on September 14, I find myself reflecting on what this journey has meant—not only for me, but for everyone who has stood by our side. I think about the power of generosity, of believing in something so strongly that you ask others to believe in it too.
So, I’m asking you, not just to join us in supporting the Ardy Germann Team, but to think about the causes that move you, the ones that ignite passion and make you want to make a difference. We all have something worth fighting for.
By donating to our team, you’re honoring Ardy’s memory and investing in a future where cancer doesn’t have the final word. You’re investing in a cause that many hold near and dear to their hearts. To make a donation, please visit our fundraising page: The Ardy Germann Team.
Your support means everything to us. As you consider your contribution, I hope that Ardy’s story inspires you to be generous—not just for our cause, but for whatever cause speaks to your heart. Together, we can create a world where love, generosity, and hope triumph over adversity.
